Clinically-Informed Yoga
Evidence-based yoga for mental health, in Devon and online
A unique therapeutic approach where psychology is fused with yoga. It goes beyond what's available in standard yoga classes through the inclusion of evidence-based psychological theory and interventions.
What it is
More than a yoga class
Clinically-informed yoga blends traditional yoga methods — ashtanga vinyasa (breath linked with dynamic movement) and yin yoga (stillness and stretching) — with evidence-based psychological models.
Approaches incorporated include yoga CBT, trauma-informed yoga, compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, acceptance and commitment therapy, and traditional CBT.
The part that makes it a distinguished approach to managing your wellbeing is the expert blending of psychological concepts and practices alongside and with traditional yoga.
All yoga services are delivered by HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, Dr Kayleigh Darch. This ensures that you will be supported with doctoral-level knowledge and skills by someone with advanced clinical and specialist trainings in safe and inclusive spaces.
